Custom Digitizing

Mikki’s Embroidery is located in Tennessee, USA

Our primary focus is to offer beautiful embroidery designs and custom digitizing services to our customers. All of our own digitized designs are tested on a Brother PR600 machine before released to you. We digitize our designs with the home embroider in mind. We also do custom digitizing for businesses. Our stock designs are all digitized in-house. We also take our client’s privacy seriously and adhere to a comprehensive privacy policy to protect our customers.

Embroidery Digitizing
Digitizing an embroidery pattern is the process of creating a set of instructions that a computer controlled sewing machine (embroidery machine) uses to sew an intricate pattern of stitches that renders text and/or graphics into a sewn decoration, usually applied to fabric. Digitizing software is used facilitate this process. A digitizer is the person who uses the software and determines the order that each element is sewn and using what type of stitches.

Importance of Digitizing
Preparation of the embroidery pattern ("digitizing") requires an understanding of the different types of stitches and fabrics and how they work together as a medium and rendering. Although digitizing software has become more sophisticated, allowing less skilled digitizers to produce designs, better designs are produced by experienced digitizers. We understand that time is an important factor in the embroidery business. We digitize the design to stitch more efficiently to save production time. We minimize the trims, by planning the jump stitches to go at a narrow point or by hiding the thread under another color. These are a few ways we help your business. A well planned design saves you production time.

Proofing
After a design is created, I proof each one to make sure what looks good on screen really works out as well once it's sewn on fabric. Any edits that are needed are performed and the design is sewn again to make sure the changes produce the desired result.

Approval
Once the design meets our standards, we send you a computer program copy by email for your approval.
